South Beach Style….Deco dented my camera

Less than twenty years ago South Beach’s Art Deco District was a haven for those seeking good crack and a decent corner to smoke it on. In recent years , through the process of restoration much of the neighbourhood’s seedyness has been quashed and nowadays one can quite happily party in the city where the heat is on without worrying too much about being jacked by a gang of local smack heads.   Its 800  pastel coloured, Deco buildings are now under legal protection and South Beach is once again able to acknowledge the architectural revolution of the 1930s that made it so unique…. to spectacular effect….
